LAMBING 2009 is Over!
. . . And the lambs’ first trip outside . . .
Saturday, Dec 20th was the official start of Brigands lambing. At 8:30a when the pregnant ewes were checked a set of twins had just arrived into the cold snowy world.
Then that evening at about 7:30p a set of triplets arrived.
THANKS to Bernie for using the tractor and making a path between the house and the barn.
The trek to the barn (2-3 times each day) is much easier now! The Livestock Guardian Dogs, Ichi and Cody, have been staying close by. Even cuddling near a newborn when the need arises.
We normally don’t name our lambs but “speckles” here just screamed with her name!
